New Mexico Seeks Two
Established private practice is actively recruiting another IR and a General Rad/Breast Imager. The group consists of 24 Radiologists that has been servicing Albuquerque and the surrounding area for 70 years. They cover 4 hospitals as well as 7 independently owned imaging centers.
IR – with a recent IR hire (starts next month) there will be 6 FT IRs in the practice. This position is for their Albuquerque hospital – there are 3 IRs at this location. This position is to replace one that is transitioning to part time. Spend 50% of your time doing a full range of IR cases (approx.. 7 procedures and 1 for pain management per day) from simple biopsies and drainages to stent grafts, embolization and ablations and the balance in general. NO week night call. Weekends are: IR call is only Saturday morning until 2pm every 4th Saturday and diagnostic call is either 6 full weekend call days or 12 half weekend days per year.
General/Breast Imager - Spend either 50-70% in general work and 30-50% Breast Imaging in a busy hospital based practice and an imaging center (Alamogordo). Must be MQSA certified with strong general radiology skills. Daily volume is about 50 RVUs per day combined. The sites do way more but the overflow is read by the Rads in the main facility. In the productivity model there is potential for extra $’s. NO week night call. Weekends are either 6 full weekend call days or 12 half weekend days per year.
