Psychiatrist

Our client in the Charlotte Metro Area is currently searching for a locums Psychiatrist for until a perm Psychiatrist is credentialed around September 2017.

Requirements:

• Board Certification Required
• Inpatient psychiatric experience with adult patient population. 
• Interest in geriatric population requested, geriatric psychiatric certification not required. 
• Needs to be comfortable and proficient with electronic health record software. 
• Needs to work well with treatment team to provide individualized patient care and timely discharge planning.
  

Practice Details:

• Setting: Inpatient behavioral health for 20-bed adult unit and 20-bed geriatric unit. 
• Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Census: 8-12 patient per day
• Call: 1 day call & 1 night call per week
• Mix: 45% Geri | 55% Adult | 50% Medicare/Medicaid
• Staff: NPs, PAs, RNs, Therapists, and PSYCH Techs
• Supervision of advanced practice clinicians as needed (staffing cases, signing off on documentation). 
• Expectations: History & Physical within 24 hours of admission, daily progress notes, discharge summary within 24 hours. 
• All documentation will be done through EHR (Dimensions).
