About the Facility – Four Corners Regional Health Center
The Four Corners Regional Health Center (FCRHC) is located in Red Mesa, Arizona near the borders of Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. FCRHC opened in January 2007 and is under the administrative oversight of the Shiprock Service Unit. FCRHC provides ambulatory care, sub-acute care, and community health services in the following areas: family medicine, optometry, dental, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, laboratory, social services, case management, mental health, public health nursing, diabetes education, health promotion, disease prevention, and traditional medicine.

Work Schedule: This is a part-time requirement, with services needed at least four days a month, with at least one of those days in person at the FCRHC Mental Health Services Department. Services shall be delivered remotely through Webex the remaining days during normal clinic hours, between 8/4:30 PM, Monday through Friday except for Wednesday when they are 12:30-4:30. The clinic is closed for federal holidays. The contractor will have an additional 100 hours available during the year to complete mandatory training and provide urgent/emergency psychiatry services as needed to patients whose regular psychiatrist is unavailable.
Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- Shall perform outpatient psychiatry duties and manage patient needs identified by the Service Unit
- The primary population of patients requiring services by the psychiatrist are children and adolescents
- Provide psychiatric assessments, prescribe psychotropic medications, and provide psychiatric treatment for psychiatric needs
- Shall provide consultation and education for clinical medical and mental health staff regarding assessment and treatment of specific patients and overall mental health issues, as appropriate
- Patient contacts shall be recorded in the FCRHC medical record following established Client policies for documentation.
- Shall have no weekend, holiday, overtime, or on-call responsibilities
- Should be able to show sensitivity to cross-cultural and language differences and be able to work through interpreters necessary for non-English speaking patients.
Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist - REQUIREMENTS
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent degree from a foreign medical school accredited by NCFMEA and ECFMG for foreign graduates.
- Must be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General and Child & Adolescent psychiatry.
- Full and unrestricted medical license in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. All licenses health must not have/ever had a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily surrendered, pending action, or denied upon application.
