Experienced Employed Ophthalmic Hospitalist Eastern NC 1 Hour from Raleigh
Position requires 2 years of experience
Department of ophthalmology is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Ophthalmologist to join expanding ophthalmology program as an Ophthalmic Hospitalist. Candidates with an interest in resident education and residency program development are encouraged to apply. The medical center is a tertiary referral center with a large population of patients with complex ophthalmic pathology. Department is hiring providers of all specialties for a robust multi-specialty practice and plans to develop a teaching program on-site. There is a large hospital based and local optometrist and ophthalmologist-based referral network with few other retina specialists in the community. Opportunity available due to programmatic expansion. Provide patient care and education in an academic medical setting. Responsibilities included diagnose, treat and manage diseases, injuries and disorders of the eye, and associated structures, primarily in the inpatient, and ED settings. Work with current faculty to teach trainees.
