Internal Medicine Hospitalist

Our client in Central Tennessee is currently looking for locum tenens Internal Medicine Hospitalists to join their team.

Requirements:

• Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• ACLS certification required
• Must be able to commit 5-10 shifts a month ongoing
• Must have clean background and TN DEA or license
• Critical Care/Pulmonary experience is not required, but a big plus.

Practice Details:

• Shift Times:
  • Doc: 7a-7p with back-up pager responsibility 7p-7a
  • MLP: 7p-7a
• 18-22 encounters per doc per shift
• 3-6 admits per day
• Daily Census: 32
• Call Requirement: Every night after day shift
• With ICU involvement. Rounds and able to handle vents, intubation, central lines
• Required Procedures: Vents, intubation, central lines. ED helps in covering ICU procedures at night.
• Hospitalist will be responsible for running codes. ED and MLP runs the codes at night.
