Hospitalist

Our client in Southern Arizona is currently in need of locums Hospitalist to join their team.

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. If Board Eligible, Residency / Fellowship training must be completed within 5 years.
• Candidates need to work a minimum of 14 to 16 shifts per month - days, swings, and nights
• Providers that can work minimum of 14 shifts preferred. Will consider 5-7 on availability for continuity.
• AZ license required

Practice Details:

• Schedule:
  • 7 day providers (6a-6p) - admits, rounding and discharges
  • 1 swing provider (3p-3a) - admits
  • 1 in house night provider (6p-6a) - provides cross coverage and helps with admits
• Patient Census: 15-20 per provider; busy hospital with 12-15 admits overnight.
• Patient Mix: All adults
• Support Staff: Essentially all Specialty Backup Available
• Will respond to floor codes but not ICU codes.
• Hospitalist handles admits, rounding and discharges
• Procedures not required
