Northridge Hospital Medical Center Medical Director The emergency department at (NHMC) is one of only two in the San Fernando Valley that is certified as a trauma center. NHMC provides treatment to over 60,000 patients annually. As a Paramedic Base Station our trauma care team provides critical care 24 hours a day and we are the only Pediatric Trauma Center in the San Fernando Valley. There are 27 beds in the main emergency department and 8 Fast Track beds. The ED currently has 44 hours of physician coverage and 24 hours of Allied Health Provider (AHP) coverage daily. Night APC shift is supported by scribe services Requirements: • California Medical License • Emergency Medicine residency trained • ABEM or ABOEM Board Certified • Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certification • DEA License with California registration
