DESCRIPTION: 2 Locum Physicians Needed.

Start Date:

1) With clean MP/Background and no work gaps - TBD – Temp Priv’s can be requested.

               2) Otherwise, 4/1/2024.

• Ongoing until replacement is secured.

Support Staff: Assignments as directed by the Chief or Acting Chief.

• Joining a mid-sized/multi-disciplinary OR team

• Approx. 15, which includes per diems.

• CRNA’s (2 CRNA's in the practice), Anesthesia techs, PA’s, nurses, OR techs

• Directors, Managers

• There are no AAs in the practice.

• Locums rarely supervise a CRNA.

Schedule:

• OR Days: 100% OR and L&D, we have 9 main ORs constructed approximately 18 years ago.

• No Clinic work, this is 100% OR work.

• On-call - includes OB and Call is a MUST. Must be within 15 minutes.

• Schedule of Days/Times Needed To Work/ Shift Hours: M-F: 7am-3:30pm plus on-call as agreed upon.

• Anticipated average procedures/surgeries (case load) per week: 4-5 cases per day, roughly.

Procedures: All bread-and-butter surgery, no CT, neuro, or cranial cases.

• The highest volume is with ortho and GS cases.

• Procedures Preferred: OB/Gyn, ortho, general surgery, plastic surgery, vascular, Colo-rectal surgery, ENT, GI, Urology

• Pain Management or Regional Blocks – OR cases.

• No outpatient pain management

• No Peds – however, welcome.

• Healthy kids only. There are no high risk peds at CVPH.

• Trauma Level: III with ACLS.

REQUIREMENTS:

• NY state license: active, unrestricted. – Hospital will accept those ‘willing’ to License.

• Board Eligible (within 2 to 4-year minimum experience, post-residency/training)/BC

• ACLS, DEA, MMR.

• COVID vaccination complete (exemptions are case-by-case).

• EMR: EPIC

COMPENSATION:

• Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience, certifications, housing, and transportation needs, etc.)
