Permanent Hospitalist: Family Medicine Job in Brainerd, Minnesota

PRACTICE SPECIFICS: 
    Hospitalist section chair 
         • Hospitalist work while serving as the department leader 
         • Administrative time built into hospitalist shifts 
         • Primarily day shift with 1:8 week rotation to night shift 
         • Pay incentive for extra shift(s) 
         • Opportunity for shortened shifts (rotating and dependent on patient volume) 
         • Opportunity for extended shifts with pay incentive 
         • Full-time equivalent = 24 weeks/year 
         • Benefits to include vacation time 

• All a part of an existing Hospitalist Program 
• Schedule – 7 on 7 off 
• Hospitalists will cover Med/Surg & ICU to include ventilator management 
• Total number of physicians in specialty currently in department at practice site: 7 
• Fully staffed with 9 hospitalists 
• Average inpatient practice volume per day: 12-13 encounters per hospitalist. Average daily census on unit: 50-60 
• Hospitalist runs codes 
• No procedures required (general surgery performs central lines) 
• Excellent compensation package, paid malpractice insurance, relocation and benefit package 

REQUIREMENTS:
• BC/BE Internal Medicine or Hospitalist Residency, or Family Medicine with Hospitalist experience 
• Current ACLS Required
