Our client in Western Mississippi is currently in need of locums Pediatrician to join their facility for a call coverage only opportunity.
Requirements:
- Must be Board Eligible
- Must be able to care for Normal Newborn Nursery and Level II Newborn Nursery
- Skills:
- Delivery Room Care:
- Attend “at risk” cesarean delivery with neonatal team
- Attend “at risk” vaginal delivery with neonatal team
- General Pediatric Care: Adolescents, Children, Critical Care, Infants
- Neonatal Care:
- Level 1 Nursery
- Level II Nursery (NICU)
- Neonatal resuscitation
- Routine Newborn Care
- Procedures:
- Arterial puncture
- Central Venous Line
- EKG interpretation
- Laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation
- Lumbar spinal tap
- Management of simple fractures and dislocations
- Moderate sedation – pediatric
- Neonatal resuscitation
- Phototherapy
- Umbilical arterial line
- Umbilical venous line
- Ventilator management
Practice Details:
- Practice Setting: Inpatient. No clinic work - only hospital call for ER, consults, IP, and nursery.
- Coverage Type: Call Only

- Call Response Time Required: 30 minutes

- Locums call is for both assigned and unassigned patients
