Locum Tenens Psychiatry: Geriatric Job in Loma Linda, California

    As a Psychiatrist, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care including evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic interventions. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and telehealth settings. This role offers a dynamic clinical environment, exposure to a diverse range of psychiatric conditions, and the opportunity to contribute to both direct patient care and team-based treatment planning.

    ShapeQualifications 


    MD or DO from an accredited medical school 

    Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry 

    Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program (or equivalent training) 

    Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory 

    Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills 

    Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team


    Key Responsibilities

      • Provide direct and indirect patient care including psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning 
      • Manage medications and provide psychotherapy interventions as appropriate 
      • Perform crisis intervention and manage psychiatric emergencies, including assessments for hospitalization 
      • Deliver care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient clinics, Emergency Department, and via VA Video Connect 
      • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care 
      • Participate in treatment planning conferences and team meetings 
      • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and consultations 
      • Exercise independent clinical judgment in decision-making 
      • Engage in consultations regarding complex clinical, ethical, and legal cases 
      • Potential involvement in teaching and supervision of psychiatric residents 
      • Participate in on-call duties as required 
      • Provide care for a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, psychosis, and substance use disorders 
      • Perform additional duties as assigned
