• Nocturnist schedule -- 7 on/7 off rotation
• Night shifts 8pm - 6am weekdays, 6pm - 6am weekends
• Patient load: 5 - 14 admissions per shift, averaging 8
• Census range: 85 - 130 patients, averaging 100
• Closed ICU setting with code team response
• Board certification required
