- 12-hour rotating shifts: 7 am - 7 pm day shift and 7 pm - 7 am night shift
- Average daily census: 10 nursery patients and 3 - 7 pediatric floor patients
- Community hospital with Level I nursery services
- Local pediatricians available for consultation and rounding
- Newborn stabilization and transfer capabilities for 32 - 35 week infants
- Required skills include newborn resuscitation and circumcisions
- Preferred skills: central lines, chest tubes, and lumbar punctures
- Emergency department consultations averaging more than one per day
