Adelphi is seeking a physician to provide care to patients at facilities in South Central Kentucky. The physician will provide general medical services including examinations, treatment and admissions.

Requirements:
• Active Kentucky License
• BC/BE
• DEA certificate
• Minimum 3 years experience
Responsibilities:
• Conduct admissions screenings.
• Ensure rounds are performed daily as directed.
• Ensure that transcription of daily progress notes is performed routinely.
• Provide written notations for Medicare and/or Medicaid as well as telephone interviews with private insurance companies, as needed.
• Document treatment provided and tests administered in appropriate formats on required forms on each visit to the facility.
• Participate in incident review meetings, clinical staff meetings, respite and annual individual habilitation plan team meetings and any other pertinent staff meeting .
• Consult as necessary with other facility staff physicians, consultants, in their area of consultation and medical judgment required for proper patient care.
• Comply with all applicable Federal Regulations, Department and Facility Policies and Procedures.
• Advise facility management on supply and drug usage and selection of medical equipment as requested.
• Ensure availability at all times for consultation or care of the patients requiring services.
• Exercise independent clinical decision-making and medical judgment in the performance of clinical work and functions within the scope of training and license.
• Perform annual physicals on or before patient/residents established anniversary date.
• Maintain current Kentucky unlimited license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
• Provide appropriate credentials specific to each facility’s credentialing process.
• Report and follow-up with regard to client injuries or illness to facility nursing staff.
• Ensure availability to staff by telephone, voice mail, e-mail, pager,and intra-facility mail, as necessary.
• Ensure completion of continuing medical education as mandated by the American Medical Association, for the life of this contract.
• Participate in the quality initiatives of the facility, as needed.
• Provide on-call services weekdays, 52 weeks per year; weekends / holidays, and for vacation coverage, if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
