Trauma surgeon needed with Academic Appointment in Knoxville, TN!
The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, is seeking an outstanding Board-certified/ Board eligible trauma surgeon looking to join a high-volume trauma surgery practice which offers the highest quality care to patients in East Tennessee as well as the surrounding radius which includes Southeastern Kentucky, Southwestern Virginia and Northwestern North Carolina.

This practice is dedicated to trauma surgery and acute care surgery.
The practice is a high-volume practice consisting of 10 board-certified/eligible trauma surgeons.
Practice services are at a single institution at UT Medical Center, Knoxville, a designated Level I Trauma Center.
Trauma Surgery plays an integral part in the training of our General Surgery Residents as well as 3rd and 4th year Medical Students. The academic rank will commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
We are committed to fostering relationships with our colleagues (Surgical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Urogynecology and Gastroenterology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery) in the multi-disciplinary care of our patients.
The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville is one of the three main teaching centers for The University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s College of Medicine in Memphis. This opportunity comes with a full time non-tenure track faculty appointment.
Prior experience is helpful but not required. A hospital guarantee salary is available as well as a full and extensive benefit package. The individual we are seeking will have completed a trauma surgery fellowship and should be experienced in treating trauma patients.
