Excellent General Thoracic Surgery Opportunity:
* Our high volume, reputable, well-supported organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Thoracic Surgeon.
• A well-established, Thoracic Surgery Division, in a multi-disciplinary setting. The institute is physician-centric and has shared governance.
• They host a comprehensive, Thoracic Oncology / Surgery Division which is a Lung Cancer Alliance, Lung Cancer Screening Center of Excellence which includes: interventional pulmonary procedures including EBUS, and navigational bronchoscopy. Minimally invasive excellence is critical in the care of both benign and malignant thoracic disease. Access to both state of the art VATS and DaVinci SI is available.
• Physicians perform more than 400 procedures annually including lobectomies, pneumonectomies and wedge resections.
• Expect to interact closely with the cardiovascular surgery colleagues, who have been recognized at both the state and national levels for providing the highest caliber of surgical care.
• Have a well-established oncology multidisciplinary program dedicated thoracic oncologist and robust radiation oncology.
About the Position:
• The successful candidate will have experience in thoracic surgery, inclusive of malignant and non-malignant disease of the lung, pleura, diaphragm and mediastinum including the esophagus. Advanced skills in bronchoscopy, thorascopic and laparoscopic surgery techniques required. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional teamwork and mentorship abilities.
• Board Certification and active Pennsylvania License preferred or in process
