Medical Center is seeking a board certified Surgical Oncologist who is interested in developing a surgical oncology practice establishing a presence of surgical oncology procedures at the hospital and providing educational support to a future ACGME Surgery Residency Program.
Requirements:
• Board Certification by the American Board of Surgery.
• Surgical training from accredited program.
• Demonstrated expertise in peritoneal malignancies gastrointestinal hepatobiliary and/or pancreatic cancer.
Teaching Expectations:
• Educate residents in state-of-the-art care of common malignancies such as breast lung and colon.
• Provide residents with experience in the management of complex disease involving endocrine pancreas and in surgery for benign and malignant tumors of the thyroid parathyroid and adrenal.
• Provide residents with understanding of multidisciplinary management of the major cancers primarily treated with surgery such as breast cancer colorectal cancer melanoma stomach cancer pancreatic cancer and liver cancer.
