Regional healthcare leader is seeking a board certified/board eligible Acute Care General Surgeon to join their esteemed surgical group of 6 board certified general surgeons and 4 full-time APPs. Candidate will provide coverage to primarily inpatient & emergency department consults at 180 bed acute care hospital in West GA. Will receive ED calls, transfers, and referrals from other critical access hospitals in the region. Schedule is Monday-Friday 7 am – 5 pm. No week night call coverage responsibilities, and weekend call coverage obligations will be evenly split with general surgery physician colleagues. Requirements include MD or D.O. degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine, residency trained in General Surgery, board certified or eligible in General Surgery, Proven competency to perform a full spectrum of routine general surgery procedures and acute care surgery.
