RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct psychiatric services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including prescribing and administering medication; Provide professional consultation to staff, participate in staff conferences, and service on clinical committees; Obtain and evaluate data. Complete necessary medical records and reports; Provide psychiatric coverage throughout the agency as necessary during operating hours; Supervise the treatment plans of assigned patients; Serve as psychiatric consultant to behavioral health and medical providers; Coordinate psychiatric services with other behavioral health activities; Prescribe and evaluate effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures; Participate in program development as assigned; Participate in program development as assigned AND Perform other program related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy Degree from an approved school of medicine; Completion of psychiatric residency; Board Eligible/Board Certified; Demonstrated expertise in the use of psychotropic medication; Knowledge and competency in Mental Health treatment AND Strong interpersonal skills to participate in service delivery with an interdisciplinary team.
Must be licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina
Must have completed a Residency Program in Psychiatry and have years Direct Patient Care experience.
