As an Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients in an outpatient setting. Your expertise in mental health care will be instrumental in helping individuals manage and overcome various mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• The Psychiatrist will offer outpatient coverage for adult patients at the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.
• Join a team of counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and nurse practitioners in delivering compassionate care to our patients.
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 15-20, varies based on the ratio of new patients to follow-ups.
• New patient visits typically last 60 minutes, while follow-ups are around 20 minutes.
• Experience in treating adult psychiatric patients is preferred.
• The ideal candidate would provide longevity. We seek providers committed to offering consistent, ongoing care to our patients
  

Requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
• Licensure to practice Psychiatry in the state of New York, or willingness to obtain a New York state license.
• Experience working with adult patients in an outpatient setting
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning

Schedule and Shift Details

• Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends; 1:7 weeknights.
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 15-20 varies based on how many new patients vs follow up.
