MD/DO - Child Psychiatrist REQUIREMENTS (duties include but not limited to) • Administer programs of treatment to mentally and emotionally disturbed individual adjustments to life; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries. • Assist in treating rehabilitation patients. • Treat individuals in times of personal crisis such as a divorce or death of a loved one. • Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients in the Family Advocacy Program dealing with domestic violence, physical, and/or sexual abuse. • Work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies). • Provide patient consultations requested by the staff health care providers within guidelines established by the hospital. • Deliver records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided utilizing standards set forth by the hospital and regulations. • Other duties may be assigned pertaining to the HCPs position. QUALIFICATIONS • Shall have completed an accredited medical degree MD/DO. • Shall have completed an approved internship/residency program in clinical Psychiatry. • Must have experience of 1 year within the last 3 years. • Must have and maintain a current license to practice in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands that allows for the independent practice of clinical services. This license must be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid, and unrestricted. • Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification approved by the American Heart Association (AHA).
