Practice Details

Seeking a Pediatrician to work with our Hospitalist group and at our pediatric outpatient clinic. The Pediatrician will provide inpatient neonatal and pediatric care as part of a 5-6 member hospitalist team as well as outpatient care with our team consisting of 7 Physicians, 1 Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, 2 Licensed Social Workers, 1 therapist and 3 RN care coordinators.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

· inpatient neonatal and pediatric care coverage as part of a 5-6 member collaborative team with hospital call approximately 1:7: attending neonatal high risk deliveries, care of neonatal and pediatric inpatients.

· outpatient neonatal, pediatric and adolescent care -anticipating approximately 3 days per week

· empowering patients to take an active role in health maintenance and wellness behaviors

· providing appropriate patient follow-up and effective communication with patients and families

· referring patients to specialty care as necessary

· providing clinical supervision to mid-level providers and nursing staff

· participating in quality assurance activities

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· favorable completion of college, medical school, and pediatric residency

· Pediatric board certified or eligible; continuing maintenance of AAP certification, CME activities

· holding a license by the State of Vermont or eligibility for licensing as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
