Orthopedic Surgeon

Our client is currently in need of locums Orthopedic Surgeon to help their facility over Memorial Day as the world’s largest 3-on-3 football journey will take place in Southeast New Mexico. Routinely, the facility gets 6-10 surgeries, and many more ER visits from this event.

Requirements:

• M.D. degree
• Must be Board Certified
• Fellowship preferred

Practice Details:

• Practice Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient
• Coverage Type: Call Only
  • Call Type: Beeper
  • Call Response Time Required: 30 minutes
  • 100% Hands On
  • Locums call is for both assigned and unassigned patients
  • Average Call Numbers per 24 Hours
    • Phone Consults: 8-14
    • Patients Seen: 5-6
• Hours/Shifts: On call starts at 6am, Saturday and call shift ends at 8am, Monday
• Rounding: Both assigned and unassigned patients

  • Dislocation Closed Reduction (except hip and knee)
  • Complex (closed reduction)
  • Complex (open reduction)
  • Dislocation Open Reduction
  • Simple (no reduction)
  • Dislocation Closed Reduction (hip and knee)
  • Hand Surgery – Minor Trauma
  • Simple (reduction needed)
  • Foreign Body Removal
  • Fracture Repair (excluding oral, facial, spinal)
• Provider will not be required to supervise other healthcare providers
