Functional Statement of Duties for Chief, EH Program. SLVHCS is seeking an Employee Health Program (EHP) Chief who is a seasoned physician with an occupational and environmental medicine background and prior experience with administration and management. This physician will be primarily responsible for building and sustaining the operations of the EHP and supervising the EHP staff to include NPs, LPNs, and support staff. Incumbent ensures programs and policies are in place to protect the health and well-being of employees, volunteers and others and that programs are in compliance with applicable laws, regulatory agency requirements, and VA Policy. The EHP Chief will develop and maintain written policies. The EHP Chief conducts pre-employment physicals and examines and treats employees with medical injuries. He/she orders and interpret:$:labs; .diagnostic studies and medical consults. He/she will perform determinations of fitness for duty, causality ·determinations of alleged work-related Illness and injuries, and OSHA monitoring examinations.
