Neurohospitalist

Our client in Western Michigan is currently in need of locums Neurohospitalist for ongoing support due to gaps in current coverage.

Requirements:

• Must be Board Certified. Will consider new graduates and truly board eligible. 
• Must have BLS, DEA. 
• Must have experience with inpatient rounding as well as neurohospitalist. 

Practice Details:

• Monday- Friday, 8a-5p and weekends, 8a-5p.
• All adult and geriatric medicine. 
• Hospital rounding begins after the list is reviewed at 8am. The group (2 neurovascular docs and 2 neurovascular dedicated APP’s daily, along with a neurohospitalist and dedicated APP) reviews the patient list and divides it among themselves. They determine who will see any new consults and who will see follow ups.
• Will also have shifts at another facility in Western Michigan where there is no midlevel support.
• There is a stroke primary service, so there is another neuro doc on service for questions/etc. 
• Not sure of Medicare/Medicaid %.
