Single-Specialty Group Nephrology Job in Sturgis, South Dakota

The selected candidate will perform procedures consistent with granted privileges and based upon individual training, qualifications, and experience. In addition to the performance of procedures consistent with privileges granted, the selected individual will be responsible for performing duties to include, but not limited to the following: Responsible for the daily administrative and clinical operations of the Nephrology Section and reports directly to the Hospital and Specialty Medical Care Line Manager Provide direct professional Nephrology services to patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings Evaluate and treat patients with known or suspected renal disease Develop treatment plans including, but not limited to: dialysis (both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, slow low efficiency dialysis), rounding on hospitalized patients, attending in clinics, writing of prescription medications, writing for consultative services, diet instruction, and other physician driven or exclusive decisions Provide on phone coverage on an as-needed basis during times when the provider is not present at either campus to include: holidays, night, and weekends Provide both medical and technical support, as applicable, to RN’s, LPN’s, Health Technicians, PA-C’s, and NP’s Participate in the Medical Center’s Quality Management program through Nephrology indicators, monitors, and by provision of peer review for outcome occurrence screening
