Hospitalist - MD - with a great Work Life Balance! We are searching for physicians to work for an exciting and rapidly growing integrated healthcare provider in the Seattle - Tacoma area, offering a work balance including hospital rounding and clinical work, and a work - life balance that is doable and meaningful. These positions will be located in the Lynnwood and Lakewood communities. The Extensivist - Hospitalist will be part of an integrated healthcare organization that provides health plans and comprehensive services to dual eligible (Medicare and Medicaid) patients, with most requiring care for complex chronic conditions. The Extensivist - Hospitalist will generally divide time between the hospital, rounding on a small group of patients each day, and one of our organization's outpatient clinics, seeing recently discharged patients. In the clinic, physicians care for patients at high risk of hospital admission or readmission. They also see patients in an outpatient setting after a hospital stay. Our physicians will perform inpatient responsibilities at Seattle area hospitals. They will not respond to "codes", nor is the performance of procedures required. The Extensivists - Hospitalist will keep a regular Monday - Friday schedule, and will have the best of both the inpatient and outpatient elements of medicine. Our model is considered low volume with longer visits, more in-depth time spent with each patient. The Extensivist - Hospitalist will have the ability to do all that is possible for each patient. Requirements: M.D. or D.O. 3+ years experience in a clinical setting BC - Board Certified or BE - Board Eligible in Internal Medicine preferred or Family Practice physicians AMC - American Medical Graduate preferred; IMG - Internationally Trained Graduates will be considered Experience treating treating a patient panel with multiple chronic illnesses and patients with disabilities A strong commitment to treating a patient population with serious and often complex health issues Excellent communications skills and a delivery style that is welcoming and open with patients Leadership skills and a "team player" attitude. A willingness to step in and help where needed
