Practice Details

Hospitalist position 1 hour from  Memphis Tennessee. The group is very flexible with scheduling. For nights most are scheduled for a Sunday-Thursday night blocks every 6 weeks or so. There is extra call pay for those nights. Procedures are not required but can be done. The interventional radiology department at the hospital will do procedures such as lines but the hospitalists can do them if they want. The hospital has a code team which responds to all CPRs residents are part of the code team. The hospital usually responds if it is one of their personal patients. Respiratory therapy department at the hospital does the intubations again the doctor can do it if he/she wishes. The number of day and night timers at the same time is as defined above the doctors keep their own patients and round on them so most everyone is there most every week day. And night shifts are definted in the first paragraph above. The hospitalists who work together very well. This hospital is an hour from Memphis and 2 hours from Nashville.
