Permanent Hospitalist: Family Medicine Job in Pennsylvania

Physician owned 5 physician hospitalist group in Lancaster Pennsylvania is looking for a hospitalist. The program also has an academic component as the hospital has an internal medicine residency program and this hospitalist group is the only one at the hospital. The program has 4 slots per year. There is also a family practice program that the group assist with their inpatient component. The schedule is 7 days on 7am to 6pm 5 nights on 6pm to 7am and 9 days off. The days average census is 18 to 20 and the nights average 4 admits. No procedures required. They do round and do manage acute vents. The hospitalists respond to codes.  The group is also part of a larger entity which allows for better reimbursements. The starting base salary is in the $185000 range malpractice and full benefits that include health dental 401k pension plan paid CME and 1 week off plus 9 weeks off per year. Partnership is offered after 2 years and share-holdership in the larger physician group is offered after 18 months and the yearly bonuses in that average $40000 per physician. Lancaster County has over 500000 residency and sits in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. It’s a historic area dating back 1700’s.
