Practice Details

Internal Medicine needed to work part time position in the Albany New York area. You will work solely with the geriatric population. The PACE model is designed to help frail elderly live independently in their community manage their medical conditions and avoid unnecessary nursing home placement. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team. You will develop a relationship with the patient and their family. They are needing someone to work a t 20 hour work week either 4 hours 5 days a week or 5 hours 4 days a week. You would call and round. You will take call 1 time per week. The majority of the calls are phone orders and triage. You will need to go to the hospital during the night 2 times a year maximum. You will take call 1 weekend per month Friday 430pm to Monday at 8am. You will round Saturday and Sunday. The inpatient census over the weekend is 2. You will round a total of 5 hours for the weekend. Your duties will include: comprehensive medical services including evaluation diagnosis and direct treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. This is an employed position by the group. This position is located only minutes from Albany and 2 1/2 hours from New York City. The cost of living is low. You are surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains. There are plenty of outdoor activities year round. This is an employed position by the group and they are offering a competitive salary plus incentive bonuses based on RVU production.
