Practice Details

Position Overview Provide medical hospitalist and medical house services at skilled nursing/rehabilitation centers. Responsible for history and physical exams for both the hospitalist service and for the private attending staff (as requested). Will provide cross coverage as needed/requested by nursing and medical staff. Perform consultations on psychiatric patients. Round on assigned medical hospitalist patients and on patients as requested by facility medical staff. Compliant with all facility and MDICS quality initiatives. Supervise mid-level providers through direct on-site supervision. Essential Job Functions Competently perform History and Physical exams Competently perform Consultations on existing patients Provide cross coverage support as requested by medical staff Round on existing hospitalist patients and on medical staff patients as requested Provide Mid-Level provider and House physician medical supervision and oversight Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed Requirements Maryland Board of Physicians licensure in good standing Federal DEA/Maryland CDS certification in good standing Existing facility medical staff member in good standing or successful application and credentialing at facility Internal Medicine/Family Practice board certification/eligibility Experience with geriatric patients Communicates well with patients, families, medical staff, nursing staff, ancillary staff Team oriented attitude toward patient care at facility Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
