Gastroenterologist 

Our client in the Greater Medford Area is currently in need of locums Gastroenterologist to start as soon as credentialed. Their new clinic is opening and they need backup for resident providers.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• BLS
• EPIC
• Can cover at least 2 weeks/month
• Since need is for ASAP, OR licensed providers only

Practice Details:

• Coverage needed 2 weeks/month to full time
• Clinic
  • 8a - 5p
  • 100% adult - 75% clinic/25% hospital
  • 16 – 20 patients a day, 14 scheduled, 2 – 6 add-ons. Since this is a new clinic, patient volumes are estimated.
  • 2 Physicians in practice/ 2 mid-levels
  • No surgical procedures will be done in clinic
• Hospital
  • 1 – 5 patients day, 1 – 5 admissions, 3 inpatients, 1 ICU
  • Cover the hospital on call (for GI), but this is anticipated to be uncommon. Standard Exam Rooms, Endoscopy lab in hospital on-site
• Call would be 1 weekend/month and 2-3 days per week as it will be shared with 1.0 provider and weekend locums coverage
• Procedures required: IP and OP Gastro w/ IM, Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder - cautery vs laser, injection of varicies, banding of varicies, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancteatography, diagnostic, therapeutic), Esophageal dilatation, manometry, esophageal manometry interpretation, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy
