POSITION OVERVIEW (duties include but are not limited to) • Provide a full range of medical duties covering diagnosis, disability and processing/determination. • Clinically assess patients and review medical records to determine the medical need for further clinical evaluation. • Participate as a medical expert and committee member on the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB). Consult with and advise other healthcare professionals in the management of medical and treatment of patients. • Determine clinical diagnoses based on available data and plan/implements a course of treatment. • Prescribe and dispense medications as directed per BUMED Instruction. • Admit patients per the BUMED Instruction. QUALIFICATIONS • Possess Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics/ Gynecology or Occupational Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine/American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, American Board of Internal Medicine/American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology/American Board of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology, or the American Board of Occupational Medicine/American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as appropriate to the HCW's specialty. • Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Primary Care Physician within the last 5 years. • Possess a current, unrestricted license in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
