Family Medicine Residency Program Director (Assistant/Associate Professor)- The University of North Texas Health Science Center- Fort Worth, TX
The Family Medicine Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire an, Family Medicine Residency Program Director (Assistant/Associate Professor) to join our team.
(Registered Profile Required) is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary team of dedicated healthcare providers and researchers who are committed to providing excellence in clinical care, primary care education, and research. Through innovative curricular designs, early clinical experiences, and mentorship, the Department is focused on producing highly competent, caring, and compassionate Family Medicine/OMM physicians, helping reduce the shortage of primary care physicians in our Texas communities.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
· Teaching and mentoring of medical students
· Resident supervision with our AOA/ACGME approved Family Medicine Residency Program in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM)
· Ambulatory patient care in a medical home model
· Inpatient family Medicine service coverage
· Research and academic scholarly activity encouraged with protected academic time
· Minimal call, rotates every-other 2 weeks, average patients 20 per day
- Strong administrative and team building skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Leading all administrative, clinical, and education activities of Family Medicine Residency Program

Minimal Qualifications:
· DO/MD degree from an accredited college
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical license
- Board eligible or certified by start date
- ABFM or ABOFM board certification
- 5 years of clinical experience with 2 years as core faculty in an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program
Preferred Qualifications
· Bilingual Spanish/English or other foreign language
· Academic experience is preferred
