Geriatrics FM/IM Eastern NC 1 Hour from Raleigh
The Department of Family Medicine is a nationally recognized leader in Family Medicine. Located in a 120,000 sq. ft. facility, the department provides a wide variety of comprehensive primary care services for all age groups to include: geriatrics, sports medicine, procedural skills, obstetrical care, nutrition services, counseling, and psychological support in an integrated care model. The mission of the Geriatrics Division is to care for older population and prepare all levels of learners for the challenges of caring for older patients. Seeking a BC/BE Family Physician or Internal Medicine Physician with additional qualifications in Geriatrics. Patient care in both the ambulatory geriatric clinic and inpatient settings, as well as one continuing care retirement community with skilled care beds. Strong emphasis on teaching, mentoring, advising, supervision of residents, fellows, medical students, and other learners in Geriatrics. Opportunities to develop administrative and scholarship skills.
