They are seeking Family Practitioners for Locums/Locums to Perm assignments, minimum of a 6 month commitment, travel and lodging included. Practice description below. The Client is interested in those with 2016 start dates and open to candidates currently without a Hawaiian Medical License. Licensing process of a completed application in Hawaii usually runs 8-10 weeks. No Board review needed. My agency can work with you to get you licensed in Hawaii. PRACTICE DESCRIPTION: • LOCATION: Hawaii- several locations on the Big Island of Hawai’i • SPECIALTY REQUESTED: Family Practitioner – no ob OR General Practitioner • COVERAGE NEED: Locums – 6 months up to 1 year / Locums to Perm • FACILITY TYPE: FQHC - Primary Care-outpatient only • FACILITY MISSION: Community-directed healthcare organization providing high quality primary and preventive care services, ensuring that patient-centered, culturally responsive, and affordable healthcare services are locally accessible in our community. • FACILITY VALUES: Integrity, Professional Excellence, Compassionate Care, Responsive Growth, and Healthcare Advocacy. • SCHEDULE: Four 10 hr days or five 8 hr days. • PATIENT VOLUME: minimum of 21 per 10 hr day • PATIENT AGES: Must Treat all ages • START DATE: Between now and December/open to 2016 candidates • TRAVEL AND LODGING: Round trip flight, rental car, and housing available on assignment • RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: Offered by the Client with Perm Placement PRIMARY CARE DESCRIPTION: • More Clinical details available on initial phone interview with our Client • recognize early symptoms of serious disease • distinguish between short-term illnesses and problems requiring further medical intervention • perform medical history assessments, physicals, and diagnoses • provide screening and counseling to prevent disease • accessing and utilizing social and financial resources for patients ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. • Order, perform and interpret tests, and analyze records, reports and examination information to diagnose patients' condition. • Monitor the patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary. • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results. • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients. • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary. • Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff. • Coordinate work with nurses, licensed clinical social workers, pharmacists, psychologists and other health care providers.
