Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Family or Internal Medicine Physician to fill a position in San Francisco. The ideal candidate has a passion for providing high quality care in an integrated care setting and wants to make a difference. Physicians should have experience treating addiction, HIV, and Hepatitis C as well as comfort in treating chronic disease and mental illness. This position will allow you to increase your knowledge of addiction treatment across continuum of care, gain experience in integrated care beyond clinic to include substance use disorder and mental illness treatment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to advocate and care for the underserved population. Key responsibilities of this position include: provide preventative oriented ambulatory primary care as part of an integrated health care team in a patient centered model, provide primary care to those with chronic disease, addiction, and mental illness, participate in the clinic performance improvement program, work effectively in an integrated health care team including active scheduled management, team huddles, chart preparation, and work collaboratively with team members, provide support to and work closely with behavioral health for consultation support, and participation in weekly integration meetings. Qualifications:
Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Valid California MD or DO license. Completion of internship and residency in primary care specialty with experience managing patients with substance use disorder/addiction. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Valid and active DEA with X waiver. Current BLS/ACLS certificate.
