Expanding Healthcare Facility in sunny Arizona is looking for four Primary Care Physicians. TITLE: Family Practice Physician DEPARTMENT: Medical Clinic REPORTS TO: Medical Director JOB SUMMARY: The Physician agrees to exercise the responsibilities of a Physician specializing in Family Practice both in the office, and if it becomes necessary as mutually agreed to, in the hospital. The Physician shall be licensed in the State of Arizona, utilize good professional judgment , and adhere to reasonable and accepted standards of care as established by the profession and specialty training. · The Physician will be assigned to a specific clinic location, however, if necessary, will rotate among the facilities of the Center as mutually agreed upon with the Medical Director. · The Physician will supervise and/or function as the principal medical supervising agent over mid-level providers in the event that such are hired to assist the Physician in the practice of the specialty. · The Physician shall participate in the selection of mid-level personnel directly under the Physician's supervision and shall have the authority over such personnel to evaluate, recommend disciplinary action, or recommend termination of such employees as necessary, all within the guidelines of the Center's Human Resources Policies and Guidelines. · The Physician will not to unreasonably limit practice to a specific condition presented for treatment by patients, or to a specific age group, for which the Physician is otherwise qualified to treat. · The Physician will assist in the determination of additional staffing as needed concerning the specialty, to take responsibility for clinical supervision of the staff assigned and to assist the Medical Director in the performance evaluation of such staff members. · The Physician will participate in the development, implementation, and utilization of clinical quality assurance policies and procedures, at the direction of the Medical Director. · The Physician shall comply with the Center's Human Resources Policies, which do not conflict with this contract. · The Physician will perform all other related duties as requested. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge/Skills/Abilities · Must have completed an accredited medical degree program. · Board Certified · Arizona License to practice as a Family Practice Physician in an active status and good standing · The Physician will be Board certified with their recognized certifying organization. In the event the Physician is not certified, but board eligible for certification, the Physician agrees to obtain certification within two years of the contract effective date. · Education beyond initial professional preparation that is relevant to the type of patient care delivered in the organization, that provides current knowledge relevant to the individual’s field of practice, and that is related to findings from quality assurance activities. · Excellent communication and customer service skills · Flexibility with schedule · Desire to help people and show compassion for patients · Ability to adapt to change quickly. · Ability to care for adult to geriatric patients · Basic knowledge of continuous quality improvement ideology ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Supervises: N/A Contacts/Interacts with: Patients, families, medical staff and ancillary staff.
