A large practice near Boston is seeking a Director of Medical Education/Designated Institutional Official (DME/DIO) whi will provide oversight to the development, direction and coordination of all medical education activities. He/she will ensure that the institution provides a hospitable environment for residency training programs. The DME/DIO will be responsible for ACGME institutional reviews and serve as both an administrative supervisory role and as a resource to program directors for their individual program RRC surveys and other pertinent programmatic matters. The DME/DIO should inform the hospital staff administration, and Board of Trustees of the mission statement, objectives, and accreditation procedures and status. Furthermore, he or she should keep these groups informed about new regulations requirements related to re-licensure and similar items as they arise that require attention. Experience with leadership in Graduate Medical Education. Knows and understands GMEC Structure and key responsibilities as well as ACGME Common program.
