Eight (8) University of Virginia Children’s Hospital specialties earned a top-50 national ranking in U.S. News & World Report’s 2019-2020 “Best Children’s Hospitals” guide.

UVA Children's Hospital provides primary and specialty care in more than 30 specialties to children throughout Virginia and includes:

·        A hospital‐within‐a‐hospital at UVA Medical Center with 111 beds

·        56-bed NICU that is nationally ranked & a 14-bed Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU)

·        A dedicated pediatric emergency department:  UVA's Emergency Department is one of only five level-one trauma centers in Virginia
