Permanent Urgent Care Jobs in Asheboro, North Carolina
Shift Details: Mon-Fri 8a-8p (12 hrs), Sat 9a-6p
(9 hrs), and Sun 10a-6p (8 hrs). Call is not required for either position.
There is an answering service when the office is closed. The physician may need
to rotate between the Asheboro and Randleman locations, which is about 20 minutes,
a part from each other.
- The provider will be working 15 shifts per month and 2
weekends per month. The hours required are 77 hours per pay period, which
is bi-weekly. They would need to work 5 twelve hour shifts along with 1
Saturday and 1 Sunday per pay period.
Well-respected private
family physician practice, which has been serving the community for over 35
years. The practice consist of 5 physicians and one mid-level provider.
Position Summary:
The Urgent Care
Physician’s main role is to see patients from birth to geriatrics treating a
variety of illnesses and performing minor procedures (suturing, wound care,
manage infections, splinting, etc.) in an outpatient clinic setting. The
physician will:
- Diagnose and treat an array of illnesses and injuries,
including physical examinations, evaluations, & assessments
- Prescribes pharmaceutical, other medications, and
treatment regiments as appropriate to assessed medical condition
- Have the ability to work in speed & accuracy when
seeing patients to maintain urgent care standard
- Orders diagnostic tests, such as x-rays,
electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for
deviation from normal
- Utilize paper based medical records
- No or minimum limitation of the cases that shall be
seen since it’s non-life threatening
- Comfortable in seeing about 65 patients during a 12
hour shift
- Orientation and training of new practitioners/
physician assistants when necessary
- Directs and coordinates the patient care actives of
nursing and support staff as required
- Supervision of mid-level providers when appropriate and
abide by all associated rules and regulations
Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. Degree
- Valid Medical License
- US Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urgent
Care or Emergency Medicine
- A minimum of 1 year of recent Urgent Care
experience preferred
- New Grad Are Welcome!
- Would be open to an ER doctor that can handle 65
patients/day.
- D.O.T. Certification Required (Must be received within
6 months of start)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred
- Physician would have to be flexible to rotate between
the two facilities.
