Hospitalist needed on Cape Cod Massachusetts.  This is an employed position.  Candidate must be internal medicine trained board certified/eligible required.   Join a dynamic team of 18 hospitalists and 2 mid-level providers who provide around the clock care for the vast majority of all medical admissions to this 250 bed hospital.  Hospitalists work a block scheduled 5 on 5 off and rotate between teams covering medical units and ED admissions.  9 Hospitalists are scheduled during a 24 hour period 6 on the day shift 8a-6p 1 swing shift noon-10p and two over night shifts 6p – 6a and 8p – 8a.  Up to 24 night shifts/year.  Typical census 15-18 patients/hospitalist.  27-40 admissions/day average 10 per shift.  ICU coverage is required with intensivist backup (round twice/day) 12 bed unit with 10-12 CVICU overflow.  Hospitalists respond to codes on all inpatient adult units ACLS required.  Procedures may be performed with specialist backup as requested.   Best Compensation program in the Northeast with excellent base salary and incentives
