Permanent Internal Medicine: Outpatient Only Opportunity in Seattle, Washington
Primary Care Physician with a great Work Life Balance! The Primary Care Physician will be part of an integrated healthcare organization that provides health plans and comprehensive services to dual eligible (Medicare and Medicaid) patients. This physician will lead a clinical care team at its outpatient clinic in the Southern Seattle, WA area. The Primary Care Physician will serve a mixed patient population of dual eligible patients (Medicare and Medicaid) with most requiring care for complex chronic conditions. This clinic, with strong infrastructure in meeting comprehensive medical needs, is considered low volume with longer, visits, more in depth time spent with each patient. The Primary Care Physician will have the ability to do all that is possible for each patient. Clinic and working conditions are excellent. 4.5 days in the clinic seeing patients with .5 day for administrative duties. Call responsibilities include taking call by phone (after clinic hours) for 1 week every 6 weeks. Excellent career advancement opportunities in leadership roles. Strong salary and benefits package including relocation. A typical patient schedule of 10-12 patients in a full clinic day allowing for high-level of attention and care to each patient. Initial patient appointments will last approximately 60 minutes with follow ups approximately 30 minutes This healthcare organization views their model as providing concierge medical services to the most disadvantaged population that are typically being poorly served by traditional fee-for-service medical systems. Their model of care centers around frequent access to clinical teams (MD’s, NP’s, RN’s social workers and care managers) with comprehensive care planning designed specifically to meet the needs for these complex chronically ill patients. Requirements: M.D. or D.O. 3+ years experience in a clinical setting BC - Board Certified or BE - Board Eligible in Internal Medicine preferred or Family Practice physicians AMC - American Medical Graduate preferred; IMG - Internationally Trained Graduates will be considered Experience treating treating a patient panel with multiple chronic illnesses and patients with disabilities A strong commitment to treating a patient population with serious and often complex health issues Excellent communications skills and a delivery style that is welcoming and open with patients Leadership skills and a "team player" attitude. A willingness to step in and help where needed
