Permanent Hematology/Oncology: Oncology (Only) Job in Ohio
Senior Medical Director - Medical Oncology
Our client in Southern Ohio is currently looking for a permanent Senior Medical Director who is certified in Medical Oncology to join their facility.
Requirements:
- Must be Board Certified in Medical Oncology and have previous leadership experience
- Must be willing to perform bone marrow biopsies and help expand the facility’s clinical trials involvement
- Patient centered, community involved and interested in clinical trial expansion
- Hematology board certified preferred
Practice Details:
- Open 8a.m. to 5p.m., Monday – Friday.
- Infusion clinic treating 25-30 patients per day.
- Anticipated provider will see approximately 15-20 patients during full day in clinic. While other provider sees 7-10 patients from 8a-12p and then hospital inpatient consults in the afternoon.
- Tumor board on Wednesdays at 7a.
- Participation in survivorship planning and oncology care model
- Medical Oncology Staffing includes: 11RN’s, full time Pharmacist and Pharm Tech, Social Work, Financial Counselor, MLT Lab Tech, Physician Assist – John Harcha, PA, and Medical Oncologist Dr. Yinong Liu (been practicing at SOMC for 5 years).
- Radiation Oncology Staffing includes: 1RN, 4 Radiation Therapists (3 full-time), 1 full time Dosimetrist, 1 full time Physicist
- Additional Cancer Center Staff: 1 full time Cancer Registrar, Navigator, Clinical Manager of Cancer Services, and Support Staff Manager, Director of Cancer Services / Community Health & Wellness
- Comprehensive electronic medical records – integrated with radiation oncology department. Cancer Center has one Radiation Oncologist. One other medical oncology physician who has been practicing for over 25 years is in the facility's service area.
