Physicians Inpatient Care Specialists, LLC (MDICS) is a rapidly growing private hospitalist and post-acute group of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants dedicated to providing comprehensive, cost-effective quality medical care to patients in hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitative centers, assisted living, and continuing care retirement communities. Our programs are innovative and designed around the needs of each client. MDICS is a unique group in that we provide continuity of care from the acute care into the skilled rehabilitation setting. We currently provide short-term-resident care at more than 40 rehabilitation centers throughout Maryland. Schedule: Monday – Friday, days Essential Job Functions Competently perform History and Physical exams Competently perform Consultations on existing patients Provide cross coverage support as requested by medical staff Round on existing hospitalist patients and on medical staff patients as requested Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed Requirements Maryland Board of Physicians licensure in good standing Federal DEA/Maryland CDS certification in good standing Existing facility medical staff member in good standing or successful application and credentialing at facility Internal Medicine/Family Practice board certification/eligibility Criminal background check Experience with geriatric patients Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
