Locum Tenens Hospitalist: Nocturnist Job in Altoona, Pennsylvania
Hospitalist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- This position is for the night shift.

The Hospitalist is responsible for providing inpatient coverage for urgent care and inpatient beds.
- There are a few ICU beds, but low acuity.
- Must follow all established medication policies and procedures.
- Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency department patients.
- Must intubate and complete OOORAM when orienting.
- Shall complete the appropriate QM/PI documentation related to all procedures, complications, and outcomes of examinations.
- Must adhere to all established patient safety and infection control standards of care.
- The Hospitalist should take measures to prevent patient injury caused by acts of commission or omission in the delivery of care.
Hospitalist - REQUIREMENTS
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
- Must have a current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Shall be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Must be a graduate of an accredited medical school (either MD or DO).
