The Facility - Columbia VA Health Care System
The Columbia VA opened in 1932 at its current location and now includes seven community-based outpatient clinics located throughout South Carolina in the Upstate, Midlands, and Pee Dee areas; serving 36 of 45 counties in South Carolina. The seven CBOCs are located in Anderson, Florence, Greenville, Orangeburg, Rock Hill, Spartanburg, and Sumter. All clinics with the exception of Rock Hill are VA staffed.

Location: 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia SC, 29209

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: responsible for providing Otolaryngology care, including, but not limited to:

  • Provide clinical Otolaryngology services. Shall be present on time for any scheduled clinics/surgeries as documented by physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.
  • Operative Services:
    • Complex drainage, wound
    • Secondary closure of surgical wound
    • Office/Outpatient visit
    • Office consultation
    • Post-op follow up
    • General Surgery Physician on-call
  • Intraoperative follow-up

Requirements:

  • Current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of ColumbiaMust be full and unrestricted.
  • Board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABOTO).
  • BLS, ACLS certified through the American Heart Association.
