Permanent Administrative Job in Nashville, Tennessee

We have partnered exclusively with ArchWell Health to find their National Medical Director of Primary Care. This Executive Leadership Opportunity will be critical in cultivating a mission-driven, collaborative clinical culture that champions the ArchWell Health mission.

 

ArchWell Health is re-imagining the practice of primary care. We are putting the relationship between patient and physician at the center of a value-based model focused on outstanding patient experience, improved access and better outcomes. In our medical clinics, we provide comprehensive primary care for senior adults with traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans, focused on delivering improved quality, better patient experience and lower total cost of care.

 

Role Summary:

 

·         Develops and leads PCPs across all markets

·         Leads clinician meetings, which includes fostering a collaborative culture that focuses on patient outcomes, provider education, and opportunities to improve and innovate

·         Ensures that patients receive high quality medical care, with an emphasis on patient experience, outcomes, and membership growth

·         Accountable for achieving/exceeding targets which may include utilization metrics, medical costs, membership growth, clinical outcomes, member satisfaction, staff and community engagement

·         Advocate for equitable, high quality care which ranges from preventative care to managing patients with complex illnesses, and includes focusing on both medical and social needs

·         Work in tandem with dyad partners to achieve growth targets and develop strategies

·         Hire and manages physicians and market medical directors with responsibility for talent selection and development. This may include leading candidate interviews, leadership development, mentoring programs, and performance management

·         Actively recruit and manage clinical talent, which may include managing career progression and candidate selection for promotion

·         Ensure adherence to evidence based guidelines and clinical pathways, which includes appropriate screening/testing and Star and HEDIS measures

·         Work with network team to develop partnerships and preferred providers to ensure high quality specialty care. This includes an understanding the needs of a individual markets and communities

·         Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% to ArchWell Health markets as needed

·         Cultivate a mission-driven, collaborative clinical culture that champions the ArchWell Health mission and patients we serve

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

·         Demonstrated ability provide leadership to staff, and build the trust and respect of patients, staff, and colleagues

·         Ability to motivate staff, promote team building, and assume leadership roles in various clinical areas

·         High emotional IQ and ability to engage both internally and externally about ArchWell Health’s mission

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills with written fluency in English

·         Excellent presentation skills and comfort speaking publicly

·         Excellent problem solving skills required, including creativity and resourcefulness. Ability to analyze technical issues and resolve administrative problems. Ability to exercise use of independent judgement

·         Excellent coping skills and ability to manage difficult situations with patients and staff

·         Sensitivity to the diverse needs of culturally diverse staff, patients, and communities

·         Deep knowledge of primary care and general medicine, with understanding of current guidelines and evidenced based medicine. This includes comfort in subspecialty areas and ability to quickly review the medical literature to become fluent in various clinical areas

 

Required Qualifications:

 

·         Board certified in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

·         Current, valid license to practice medicine including DEA license and ACLS/BLS certified

·         Minimum of five (5) years in progressively responsible administrative or management-related positions within a primary care environment, preferably in a community setting

·         Recent experience developing, launching, growing, or managing clinical programs

·         Previous experience supervising providers and other clinical staff is essential, with demonstrative record of success

·         Experience and passion providing care to culturally diverse and medically complex populations and underserved communities
